This hand-made pendant is inspired by the texture of wood grain of the Matai. Catching and reflecting light in its vertical grooves. The famous Matai tree is found throughout the West Coast. The largest recorded tree, at Lake Ianthe south of Hokitika, is 23 metres tall and 2.35 metres in diameter and is reputed to be over 1000 years old. Inspired by the Matai bark. Featuring West Coast Pounamu.
